When he returns years later, Snow goads him into sleeping with her and ends up pregnant. Even though they're much too young, Luke asks her to marry him, but trouble and a miscarriage keep them apart. After another long separation, Snow, a successful DJ with her own talk show, returns to Chicago. She and Luke reconcile, but events from their past and the people associated with them converge to make the way to love perilous.
